Niva Bupa Health Insurance Q1 profit nearly doubles to Rs 138 cr, ETHealthworld

New Delhi: Standalone health insurer Niva Bupa Health Insurance Company Ltd on Thursday reported a 93 per cent jump in net profit to Rs 138 crore in the first quarter ended June 2026.

The health insurer had posted a net profit of Rs 70 crore during the April-June period of 2025-26.

The company’s total insurance revenue during the first quarter of FY27 rose to Rs 2,274 crore, against Rs 1,769 crore in the year-ago period, Niva Bupa Health Insurance said in a regulatory filing.

Gross written premium increased to Rs 2,150 crore during the quarter under review, compared to Rs 1,632 crore in the same period a year ago.

Assets Under Management (AUM) in Q1 FY27 increased to Rs 9,963 crore, from Rs 8,112 crore in the same period of the preceding financial year.

The solvency ratio of the insurer declined to 2.25 times, compared to 2.86 times at the end of the same period a year ago.

Niva Bupa’s retail health business registered a 47 per cent growth, contributing to an increase in Retail Health Market Share to 11.1 per cent, it said.
