Apollo TeleHealth Reaches 1 Million Teleconsultations in Odisha’s Tribal Health Initiative, ETHealthworld

New Delhi: Apollo TeleHealth said it crossed one million teleconsultations through its Keonjhar Digital Dispensary Initiative aimed at bringing primary healthcare closer to remote tribal and mining communities in Odisha.
The initiative has enabled more than 200,000 diagnostic tests, and supported over 20,000 referrals for specialised care, the teleconsultation specialist added.
The programme has grown to 66 digital dispensaries across Keonjhar, serving 30,000 patients every month in the three years since its launch, according to the healthcare firm.
The program is implemented by Apollo TeleHealth in collaboration with the Chief District Medical & Public Health Officer (CDM&PHO), Keonjhar, and supported by the District Mineral Foundation (DMF).
“The initiative has also strengthened early detection and management of conditions such as malnutrition, malaria, dengue and chronic diseases, improved utilisation of antenatal care services, and enabled timely referrals for patients requiring advanced treatment, contributing to stronger primary healthcare outcomes across the district,” the press statement added.
