IHH Healthcare and Fortis Announce Winners of Inaugural India Catalyst Accelerator for Healthcare Startups, ETHealthworld

Mumbai: IHH Healthcare and its subsidiary, Fortis Healthcare have announced the winners of the inaugural IHH Catalyst Fortis India Edition, a startup accelerator aimed at moving early-stage healthcare innovations from concept to clinical adoption.

Ten startups were selected for the programme’s first cohort out of 195 applications, and presented their solutions on Demo Day before a jury of clinicians, healthcare leaders and investors.

A startup called eNext ICU was named the winner. It runs a 24×7 Tele-ICU platform that lets specialists remotely monitor and manage critically ill patients, aimed at easing the shortage of intensivists in tier-2 and tier-3 cities. It also offers simulation-based training for doctors and nurses.

RNT Health Insights was the first runner-up. It has built AI-powered medical devices that enhance the early detection of upper gastrointestinal cancers during routine endoscopies, offering real-time decision support to help clinicians catch lesions that might otherwise be missed.

Cartogene Therapeutics was named second runner-up for its work making CAR-T cell therapy more affordable and accessible for blood cancer patients in India, cutting the vein-to-vein treatment timeline to 8-10 days.

The other seven startups in the cohort were CarePal Money, Tatvacare, MicroHeal, Nalagenetics, Sunfox Technologies, Kubo Care and Cureous Labs.

The hospital chain informed that the inaugural cohort showcased promising innovations across the programme’s five priority areas, spanning patient journey and workflows, preventative and predictive care, chronic disease management, multidisciplinary care and oncology.

Launched in February this year as the first regional edition of IHH’s global incubator platform, the 12-week programme paired startups with Fortis clinicians and operational leaders for mentorship, clinical validation and access to hospital infrastructure, along with support on regulatory approvals, cybersecurity and interoperability.
